Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity

I wrote a paper for Anatomy class, any topic. So I chose Metabolic Syndrome & Obesity. I discuss the “ins and outs” of that on a basic and brief level. I further discuss how research has shown that consistent, intense aerobic exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes 5-7 days a week is a major factor in preventing these two, and many other chronic disease, to include Cardiovascular Disease. I also take the time to briefly discuss and break down into a basic language, what RMR and MET tests are, and why people should be tested atleast twice a year. Continue reading
